Citric Acid is a great alternative to traditional pickle.

How to use:

  • Fill pickle pot with water and then add granular pickle to avoid splashing. The ratio of picle to water is 8:1.
  • Use tweezers of any material with this solution.
  • Add more water as necessary, and you may add more granular pickle if the solution looses its affectiveness.
  • Works for pickling silver, brass, nickel, copper and gold.

Kate's Notes: I like this non-toxic pickle. I switch back and forth between this product and Sparex and they both work effectively. Use warm for best results. After pickling, rinse pieces in a baking soda and water bath to neutralize any acid residue, followed by a good rinse under running water.

I rarely make a new batch as I keep adding water and pickle to my current pickle pot, but when I do, I pour it into a jar and let it evaporate. This solution is biodegradable, non-toxic, and may be disposed of down the drain.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.
